BUFFERING AFTER NEW FIBRE INSTALLATION

WE recently upgradred to the 900mb superfast fibre, the installation went well but now when we are for instance watching youtube on tv via sky Q we have more buffering/loading than we had before.

The main reason for the upgrade was to stop this buffering.

The wifi seems ok otherwise but not really noticing a big difference to previously average 52mb .

Any Ideas what could be wrong.

Unfortunately throwing huge bandwidth at the router doesn't necessarily help with local WiFi at all, particularly if the main Q box is in a challenging location.

Re: BUFFERING AFTER NEW FIBRE INSTALLATION

Thanks for reply , appreciated.

The Q box is about 2 metres from the router, I can watch youtube on a tablet in another room completely and not get any buffering.

I have tried casting youtube from phone/tablet to sky box and get the same buffering as when I go via the youtube app on sky.

A bit frustrating and dissapointing if I can't find a fix as we are in the same position as before the upgrade, waiting on buffering just to watch youtube.

Thanks again for taking the time to reply.

I'd suggest trying an ethernet cable between the two: even if not suitable as a permanent solution it gives something of a clue.
