Has anyone successfully managed to connect the Asus XT9 to (sky) ONT?
I've tried the settings (WAN & IPv6) from other post on here for the Asus XT8 etc with no success.
Firmware is current and tried powering off for several hours.
Any help would be much appreciatd, id like to remove the Sky router from the network (losing phone service isnt an issue)

Hi i did manage to set mine up as you want to but not in the usual way.
Most use the WAN 'option61' route which has been extensively written about in these forums.
I used the PPPoE which ive noted in another thread so either should work although the 'option61' setup seems to work most of the time.

@MCORN On a fttp connection, it should be as easy as
Ont > Ethernet into Asus wan port
Asus > in router mode
Wan tab / Client-identifier (Option 61): > "anything@skydsl|anything"(without quote's)
What error are you getting?

Hi thanks for the reply... yes tried all the usual settings you've mentioned.
Was hoping someone had managed to setup an XT9 with ONT. I'm familiar with all the settings, have previously setup an Asus XT8 with no problems.

@MCORN - Hi, Im thinking of upgrading my kit and looking at XT9's- if i decide to get rid of my SkyHub/dispense with Sky talk i will look to want to use one of the XT9's as my router instead of just access points for Wi-Fi.
Did you manage to connect your XT9 directly to the ONT? My ISP is Sky - I'm assuming yours was also?

@MCORN , thanks for the reply. I guess for now all I wanted to know was that it is doable and not too difficult. I've seen plenty of info on connecting the XT8's directly to the ONT but not the XT9's.
If I decide to go down that route and get rid of the Sky Hub and have any difficulties do you mind me asking for more step by step instructions on connecting if the usual channel 61 think doesn't work .?
Do you have a second XT9 acting as an Ai- Mesh? If so how does the system perform? Many Thanks.

Hi both setups are striaght forward so you shouldnt have any problems.
Im no expert and a few on here will tell you the PPPoE set up wont work if in the uk but it did for me.
i wrote about it in this thread:
I did have 2nd XT9 but sold it as one was enough.
