Asus XT8 in AP mode won’t work. Help please
Hello, newbie here. I have super fast broadband with a SR203 Sky Router. I also have 2 Asus XT8s (either can be main router / node).
I've read on here that it's possible to set up an Asus XT8 system to the Sky router LAN port then setup the Asus XT8 into access point mode. In that case the set up would be: Sky router (SR302) <-- [LAN Connection] <-- XT8 router in AP mode <-- [wifi connection] <-- XT8 node.
That just doesn't seem to work for me. And all the subsequent guidance I've seen on that has been for people who have fibre (apologies if I've missed a post where that's not the case).
What does work is: Sky router (SR302)<-- [LAN Connection] <-- XT8 in router mode<-- [wifi connection] <-- XT8 node.
Is there a way around this? With the second set up the Internet drops out from time to time (I'm assuming that that's a consequence of double NAT). Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks so much for your help in advance ☀️
