Are ‘police extra powers’ in force at the moment, inclusive of some internet tampering?

My internet wifi etc is normally very reliable.  I now have Ookla speedtest - a very solid app - and my tapo security camera utterly on the fritz.  The other 'sensitive' app for wifi/internet connectivity is the Apple Appstore.  It is my canary in the coal mine for internet being low quality.

Anyway, all four LEDs on the hib are lit green.  My tapo camera when i go out and look, is lit sometimes green, then amber, then back to green...this indicates bad connectivity.  Haven't changed this wifi for yonks.  Is it merely that the internet is going nuts with the far-right protests/riot video footage, or are 'police powers' interfering?  I don't necessarily mean they are deliberately blocking traffic, but I think they may be intercepting and this slowing everything down.

Look, I'll try again in the normal morning hours, instead of 2am as it is now, I suspect suddenly things will all work again.  It's like the internet is being 'taxed' by something, and an intercept of all traffic would explain this, is all.  I don't mind them intercepting my boring driveway video but if they could do it faster, that'd be great.

take care all, this will probably sort itself out once the special powers for the pllice are no longer in force, I am assuming.

@Sleekitwan

I don't know what magical powers you think the British police have at their disposal but nothing the police are doing would interfere with your broadband connection.

Police powers in the context you are referring to is the short term ability to stop groups gathering and extra powers to stop and search for weapons etc. It has nothing to do with Sky products or your internet connection.
