Appalling Wifi

I've recently moved over to Sky Max from EE after years of trouble free internet. I was convinced by the cheaper price. I wish I hadn't! Every time I log on to my computer it takes about 10 minutes for the WiFi to eventually kick in. It randomly drops out all the time and this happens a few times a day! Looking below there seem to be a lot of similar complaints - is this a known issue with the router or sth? The connection always looks fine on the app, even when the WiFi is dropping out.
