Any sky pod serial number manually

Can someone guide me to input my sky pod serial number manually please cheers

For what purpose?

There's no way to add a Max pod obtained anywhere but through Sky to a WiFi Max account: they are all on loan and cannot be legitimately sold or otherwise disposed of.

My pod isn't working so checked on the community forum and it says the pod has to be registered to you to be activated which can be done by scanning the qr code or adding the number manually through your my sky app

@Utim Hopefully you are aware but the Forum is NOT sky Customer Service, call them 8am to 8pm if you need there help to add your pod to your account!

@Utim Sky should have set this up before sending you the pod if tgat has not been done correctly you are going to need their support.

Lol been transferred numerous times and no one has a Scoobie on how to add it

Been transferred so many times and all I'm being told you scan the QR code and should automatically be done in the my sky app

If it's not pre-registered in the My Sky App the QR code won't do anything.

@splatto @Utim Does anyone know if sitting the two next to each other or close within say 6' foot etc for wireless connection, or even sticking an Ethernet connection between the Pod/Hub helps the connection along, do Not use the Max/Pod arrangement or a My Sky app, never have and never will for both a Max Hub or the App!

When I got mine it was pre-registered in the app. They recommend keeping the Pod within 10ft of the hub for the initial pairing. Then move it to a halfway point between the hub and the dead zone. The problem most people have is they get them from eBay and think scanning the QR code is a magic formula. If you don't get it from Sky it won't work at all. If you did get it from Sky it has to be activated at their end first.

@splatto Yes fully understand the serial number's off the Max hub, the Max Pod etc are all tied account wise and controlled!

My pod is from sky but as I said before whenever I call up no one has a clue and can't even book an engineer for me because the system is down must have called over 10 times and no resolution

Assuming you pay for WIFI Max and Sky have supplied the white SR213 hub and the hub settings are in the My Sky App there is still nothing you can do until the Pod is activated by Sky. The QR code is not going to activate anything.

@Utim to help you I am escalating your post to the Sky team who support the forum who should be in touch soon to offer you a private online chat session to get this sorted. Keep an eye on the forum as if you miss the message just click the brightly coloured chat icon which will be added to the forum pages for you to use.saving a long phone call.
