Another Wi-Fi connection dropping out
From a quick glance it it would appear I'm one of many with Wi-Fi connection issues. In short, when I returned my sky q mini box, I started having issues with connected devices disconnecting in rooms other than the one the router is in. It appears worse than ever now and any devices will repeatedly disconnect. I contacted sky, who told me to either re-subscribe to multiroom, pay extra for sky boost or buy a third party booster? Given that I live in a small flat and have never had any signal issues with sky WiFi prior to having sky q (I've had sky broadband for a number of years prior & always at the same address), this surely cannot be right?
During conversation with a support service agent I was put through to sky protect (I still have my policy), who then told me it wasn't a tv issue, so they couldn't assist and put me back through to sky, who only offered the above suggestions.
Please don't think I'm just on here to rant or complain, I'm genuinely looking for help and advice to sort this, but like many customers, I'm paying sky a lot of money and baulk at the thought of paying more for a service I already had. Particularly with the current cost of living.

You've lost the coverage provided by the Mini box wireless hotspot functionality: unfortunately the advice you were given is therefore correct (and there's nothing in Sky Protect which is relevant to the issue)

Re: Another Wi-Fi connection dropping out
Thanks, I knew the mini box helped, but didn't realise how abysmal the router for full fibre is. Guess I'll look at cancelling & going elsewhere.
