As I am a complete novice I would be very grateful for some informed advice.
I have a Sky router, Sky FFTP broadband and a SkyQ tv box (no mini boxes)
I have been having issues with poor external signal to Ring cameras so I purchased three TP Link Deco S7 to extend WiFi range. Installed Deco using same ssid and pwd as Sky Router and set up in Access Point mode (not Modem). Through online Hub control panel I changed ssid of Sky Router to OLD*******, so I could see both Sky WiFi and Deco WiFi. All devices working happily connected to original Sky WiFi and pwd (now Deco network), range extended to cover external cameras and everything seems fine at present.
My question is this, should I turn off 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi signal on my SkyQ box using the Engineers menu, or should I only turn off one of the bands and if so which, or just leave both running?
Should I go online and disable my 2.4 GHz WiFi and my 5 GHz WiFi, or leave one or both running?
I am loathe to change things when everything seems fine, but I have seen lots of posts saying it is bad to run two networks. My idea was to keep the original Sky WiFi running, albeit now renamed, so I could connect SkyQ tv if an issue became apparent but not use it for anything else.
I was also surprised to see all devices including decos showing as connected on Sky Hub online control panel. I am assuming this is because I set Deco up as Access Point mode.
Guidance regarding what if anything to disable would be very much appreciated. Thank you

Thank you for your help but I would like to check a couple of things before I take the plunge and switch off Sky Hub wifi as I am an apprehensive novice and need to know how to put it back on if need be:
1) Once Sky hub wifi is switched off and only deco working will I still be able to connect to internet by plugging my pc into an internet port on the Sky hub so I can connect to 192.168.0.1 to turn Sky WiFi back on? Yes ethernet remains active
2) If I needed to, would reset button on Sky hub turn WiFi back on and revert any other changes to ssid etc. that I had made via Sky hub control panel.? Yes but make sure you hold in the reset pin until the power LED flashes
Apologies for further request for clarification but I want to be sure I can put things right if I mess up.
As above

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@PatS100 if it isnt broken dont fix it. However if you only have a single Q box you can safely turn off the wifi on the Sky hub. Then connect the Q box to the Deco wifi, it will only use the 2.4GHz band. You could turn off the Q box's 5GHz wifi if you hit interference issues but dont touch the 2.4GHz wifi if you want to use that to connect to by wifi.
iIRC there is an optimise wifi option in the Deco app which finds the clearest channels if you hit interference issues.

Thank you for your answer.
Can you tell me if there is a real benefit in turning off the WiFi on the Sky hub? I do only have one SkyQ box. A bit scared that I will mess things up, but assume if I access internet control panel for the hub via a pc attached to the hub by Ethernet cable it should be straightforward. Thank you again. I repeat I am a Novice user....

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@PatS100 if all of your devices are connected to the Deco wifi you really dont need the Sky wifi. Having 2 networks in the same house is almost certain to interfer. If you turn the Sky wifi off and something doesnt working then turn it back on.

Again thank you so much for your help.
I would mention that I just turned off 5GHz signal on SkyQ tv box and this resulted in my tv remote losing its Voice search features as these are broadband controlled. I ended up having to turn 5GHz back on and reprogram remote. Nothing is ever simple it seems.
