Active Blocking of VPN
I was having problems logging into my VPN. I went through the standard diagnostics with no apparent errors except the site was not responding, changed my browser, reset the network connection, and viewed the host file... no apparent errors. I then tried another computer on my network and it was having the same problem, but ONLY with my VPN site, I was having no problems with other sites. I then tried another VPN site and had the same problem. I then changed the DNS settings to use Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 & 1.0.0.1 and presto the problem disappeared!!
(Removed)
Others like Norton they are not able to block as they include antivirus components in their offering.

Re: Active Blocking of VPN
Sky Broadband Shield will block VPN provider website access on its default age setting.
This can be adjusted by the Sky account owner.

Re: Active Blocking of VPN
The blocks are in place to mainly protect families on the internet broadband connection so the material is viewed that would be considered inappropriate to Sky or the family.

Re: Active Blocking of VPN
I am having issues with my sky internet blocking my work VPN.
This is a new issue and I have never had a problem before, I have phoned sky and they have removed my "protection shield" but it still isn't working.
Any advice on how others got this resolved please?

Re: Active Blocking of VPN
@Carly-Car1007 thst is an entirely separate issue. Some VPNs have an issue with the new white Sky hub if you have one of those try the step explained here UPnP set up
If those do not work please post again.
Edit just read your other post. Please do not post the same issue in multiple it causes confusion.

Re: Active Blocking of VPN
Hi Chrisee,
Thank you for your reply.
It won't let me login as per the steps posted. I don't have a white max hub. Mine is a black one.
