Hello all,
Our Sky Broadband is due to be activated on Monday 12 August, however we will be on holiday and not returning until the evening of Tuesday 13 August. I wondered if it is best to plug in my Sky router before we leave, or wait until we get back?
Does the router have to be plugged in on the activation date in order for it to activate properly?
Thanks in advance.
Joshua

Assuming you are moving from one Openreach supplier (like BT) to Sky, then the activation is remote and there is no problem plugging in the router or leaving it unplugged until you return, the line will activate either way.

We're moving from Vodafone and it's all connected via an Openreach box on our wall, so I think it'll work as you described.
Thank you!
