Account update to sky WiFi Max

Good afternoon, After a few weeks with very slow Internet connection and troubleshooting, I have had change my old Sky Q Hub with Sky Wifi Max Hub, but seems to be even worse. I'm on the fastest contract for my area. Do they need to update the system as my account still showing as using Sky Q Hub?! Thank you in advance Alex

@Agarici  Are you talking about the Wi-Fi around the property or in your overall broadband connection with the speed you are getting?

@Agarici

The issue likely isnt the router but either your line or local WiFi conditions. What service are you on currently? FTTC or FTTP?

@Agarici  Do you have any booster pods in the property to help with your Wi-Fi coverage in the property?

I leave in a flat, hub is at the entrance, and have a booster in living room to cover the rest.

@Agarici  When you changed from the older router did you also change to the new booster pod?

@Agarici the old Sky Q bousters are not compatable with the new hubs so should be disconnected unless it is required to boost the signal from a Sky Q box to to Sky Q minis. If you have bought Sky WiFi Max then call Sky and request a matched pod extender - the package can supply up to 3 pods but the second and third are only supplied after an engineer visits.

You dont mention if you have Sky Q tv boxes but if you have these no longer act as wifi hotspots for your other devices.
