About the engineer visit

Firstly, can I say that I found it impossible to get through to an actual person, by phone or online, sky has call centers right? Secondly, I placed an order for broadband, I already have city fibre installed but it's telling me that I still need an engineer, is that really necessary? Can I just remove my Vodafone router and replace with the sky?

@Garydarby1984

Although Sky Broadband has a carriage deal with CityFibre it apparently isn't available on all the CityFibre network: it could be you're going to be provisioned on an Openreach optical circuit.

Re: About the engineer visit

I've already checked on city fibre website, it says I don't need anything doing as full fibre already fully installed

How can I get through to speak to a person over the phone to discuss this, at the moment I'm considering cancelling and going elsewhere as speaking to a real person seems impossible

@Garydarby1984 when you call Sky stay on the line and do not accept offers of help from the bit and you should be routed to an agent. It somewhat depends on the ONT you have fitted as Sky usually require one of the newer types.

Re: About the engineer visit

@Garydarby1984 There has been one posting for a city fibre customer who had to get the ONT replaced by city fibre on the changeover from there previous ISP to sky, specific reason is unknown as to why and think that was an Edinburgh based CF connection!
