No internet for 9 days!! Everytime I phone Sky I get told Openreach are aware of the outage in the area and it will take another 2 days.
It is now 9 days.! My kids have not been able to do homework. The holiday I saw on offer that I wanted to book of course has now gone. We have to go to Starbucks to use the internet and there are four of us. Then I get told today from Sky that they can give me £10 compensation! What service is this??

The compensation rate defined by Ofcom is £9.76 per day without service.

'another two days' is probably a reference to the generic Openreach target time to fix: it's irrelevant once that target hasn't been met.

Thank you for the link, I did read that it was about that much in compensation per day on another post but Sky was offering £10 for the 9 days in total. That's like £1 a day! That just made me even more annoyed.

Find out moreThe link provided is for when you have a total loss of service and it isn’t fixed after two full WORKING days from when you notify Sky of the fault, you will become eligible for it. It’s applied 30 days after the fault has been repaired and will come in the form of a credit appearing on your Sky account so if the fault hasn't been fixed yet the amount won't have been calculated yet.
