5ghz reset
Have a new sr203. On connection status and stats the 5ghz resets around 02:48am. The other connections are all okay, shows router been up and running for over 90hours. Why does the 5ghz reset and 2.4 and wan and lan doesn't? Is there a setting I need to change?

Re: 5ghz reset
@Jashan there are no settings on the hub you can change but while resets overnight are not uncommon you would expect all of the bands to be affected so it is a bit weird. New hubs often download updated firmware overnight but again all bands would retart if that happened. Puzzling.

Re: 5ghz reset
@Jashan The 5Ghz band on the stat's has always been a little strange with function ie, will show packets in/out but may not shoe data updates but you do know that is what is happening, the 5Ghz timer reset will admit have seen it only do that once so below a couple off pictures, are you finding that the reset is regular once per day for you?
Stat's screen 1 all up back April time 2025..
Stat's screen 2 know idea why the 5Ghz reset it's self May 5th 2025
Stat's screen 3 5Ghz still running May 7th 2025, and a wan drop reset could be anything at all for that one.
Stat's screen4 from 9th May 2025
Stat's screen 5 from May 13th last one i had before retiring the SR203 back to it's box! 5ghz looks like it reset itself again!

Re: 5ghz reset
@Jashan Cannot think off any particular reason that the 5Ghz timer would reset back, but will fire up the SR203 and play with it, had it on power couple weeks ago for an OP with some issues, not wan connected but the 2.4Ghz/5Ghz timer bands ran ok! Picture is below!
From the 13th Dec 2025 just powered no wan connection! May have been to FW update to the latest version!

Re: 5ghz reset
@Jashan Tried to see and work out why the 5Ghz reset's itself nothing stands out, so did a test disabling the 5Ghz AP to reset and re-enable and have recorded the screen captures to be sure what happens, and the reset's as applied!
Picture 1, my SR203 but as normal settings with split bands.
Picture 2, the runtime so far!
Picture 3, disable the 5Ghz to reset the timer!
Picture 4. 5Ghz back on timer now running again from the restart!
Picture 5, showing the AP off!
Picture 6, all the sky Hub details if needed for comparison! FW is the latest as far as i am aware!

Re: 5ghz reset
Thanks for that Jim. The difference between my set up and your is as follows: The network time is MER/PPPoa (yours is MER)
On the 5ghz Setting the other differnce is under WIF ACCESS POINT, all 4 boxes are ticked.
Would either of these two difference make a difference?

Re: 5ghz reset
@Jashan No both off those are fine, because the Hub is not WAN connected it defaults to that setting on mine, the 4 boxes ticked, i unticked the first on to clamp the 5Ghz so it killed the wireless wifi signal and that reset's the timer back to zero, re-enabled it to start the timer off again, the 4th box allows the hub to do Split bands, so i have the 2.4Ghz and the 5Ghz on different names, ie the 5G after the name, and allows the selection at device level to go at the band full speed and not drop back onto 2.4Ghz if it feels like it!
Only difference on the Hub is i set it to WANoE on the wan screen forcing port 4 to always be wan operation no matter what, and have the Bands split is i need to control the device operation, and then on the Account have the Broadband Shield set as disabled!
The capture's were all two FW versions back as the hub came off on that last stat's picture think May 13 2025, and has only been back on the WAN connection once to update the FW to the 7.04.0205R version say 30 mins, but was expecting 0204 as no one had reported any updates after that although the 0204 did have some issues when it was released sometime in June 2025!
But you do see that the 5Ghz even on the version at that time think would be 7.04.0100.R did a reset after a very long time up so NO IDEA why it would kick back to restart itself! The 5Ghz has always been a little stupid on the stat's side so lived with that for years, and it never was anything to worry about operation wise... Just don't get why yours is reseting like clock work on the daily basis in the early hours and only the 5Ghz band!
