5Gig Broadband

Hi All

I have just signed up for 5Gig Broadband for £45 Month. I'm wondering if any one has had this installed & if so how good has it been. Did you use the Sky Wifi 7 router or use your'e own?

Any info would be appreciated. I dont want to hear people commenting on why do you need 5Gig Internet ( I JUST DO)

There isn't any wireless technology that can actually shift anything like 5Gbs in real world circumstances.  ISP hardware is undoubtedly built to a budget, but expensive third-party kit is still governed by physics.

Same room speed with a WiFi 7 client device might exceed 2Gbs, and then half that on the other side of the first wall because 6Ghz is severely susceptible to attenuation through building fabric.

Facilitating local distribution of significant bandwidth is what Cat6A and higher ethernet grades exist to do.
