Hey, broadband for businesses are something different to domestic broadband(I.e. broadbands used in a household). They'll have a priority based support team that normally keeps a track of their speeds, line stability and with the help of different equipment such as extenders etc. it's easier for hotels to provide that type of speeds even with a higher number of users connected to the same internet. That again is another reason why certain hotels charge you for the Wi-Fi that you use.

Don't think i can count the amount of times the forum has answered your question on this on one hand anymore. I figured my indepth response the other week was enough but clearly not. At this point you might be giving yourself some sort of health condition by being so concerned about the differences in WiFi speed you get on a domestic, Sky supplied router vs any other WiFi AP you may come into contact with in the entirety of the world.

Why? They probably didnt see it as a worthwhile investment until the last couple years when people prioritise WiFi availability when choosing their holiday destination. 3k may be the initial investment for the deployment but they then have to pay monthly line costs for the broadband pipe & maintenance costs for the hardware & any software they are using. This is definitely not on a Lanzarote hotel's priority list.

My comment was made in the context of a conversation with @TimmyBGood  and I am still unable to make a fully informed choice between tiers as there are so many variables.

It was at the height of the pandemic, as Digital Nomads were of particular interest as a revenue stream in this hotel.
