the Murdoch mysteries is leaving sky

Hello

the Murdoch mysteries is leaving sky in a few days

if I download all the episodes (sky q)

would I still be able to watch them in my planner

even if the tv series has been removed on the catch up section

if not then I probably have to buy them on Amazon prime

Does anyone know what the outcome will be

many Thanks for your time

Alibi has not lost the rights & frequently repeats different series of MM (my favourite programme btw & I have all s1-14 on DVD or blu-ray)

BTW S15 on Thursday nights on Alibi (& repeated on other days) is the latest series and has only just aired ep 9 of 20+ so plenty more to come in that series

Most UKTV content is showing similar expiry dates

We have a feeling (but only that) that the current dates are a bit of placeholder and may not really expire. Even if they do I think many may return in the not too distant future

I would not buy them from Amazon Prime until we know exactly what is really happening over the next couple of months

It might be worth writing to UKTV (the owners of Alibi) - Viewers@uktv.co.uk who have been helpful with a few queries I have had in the past - although they may not be able to advise if there are negotiating or anything like that

@Janeoconnell  I have downloaded season 15 episode 1 and it is not going to expire. If they are due to expire soon from recordings, you'll see the expiry date. It just means you'll need to check each epsiode after it's downloaded. I'm thinking they won't expire. But you can download and let us know.

Although some other programmes on Alibi still seem to dyill be showing as only available until Thursday, it looks like  Murdoch Mysteries are no longer set to go

Thus hopefully @Janeoconnell you can continue un-interupted with making you way through this wonderful series
