sky TV not working

Hi my wife an i are very loyal customers of SKY (since 2005), our sky tv stopped working on friday, we have tried everything but the tv still says that there is no signal being received.  WE called the sky helpline waiting for 47 minutes who literally did nothing for us.  We have booked an engineer on for this friday costing €60 and one of us has to take a day off work.  When i asked why it takes so long i got told that its tough but i qualifiy for an upgrade.  I asked how long would an upgrade take and we got told up to 3 weeks. but because we booked the engineer our account is frozen.  Love the way SKY literlly couldnt care any less about existing VIP customers.....expecially given a dodgy box is so cheap now.

waiting on someone from Sky to contact me but not holding my breath

Hi @Paulie+135 welcome to the forum. No one from Sky will contact you. We are customers here like you. You aren’t talking to Sky.

@Paulie+135

Does it say "no signal" or "no satellite signal" ?

In the scheme of things, a week isn't that long. I suspect the wait would be no shorter for an aerial installer, or a tv repair man or any other appliance repairman.

If you were to sign up with them, Sky Protect aim to call the next day.

I suspect there may have been a few engineer call-outs after the recent Storm. Friday is not too long to wait.
