My Grandson plays ice hockey for team GB, I find it strange that a sport played by Brits for the UK never gets a sniff regarding air time on SKY or indeed any other UK TV?
CONSIDERING THE COST OF THE SPORT IS BOURNE BY THE PLAYERS PARENTS. yet these squads go out under the UK banner and play all over the world, representing the UK. ALL COSTS STILL BOURNE BY PARENTS... I would have thought a little exposure would go a long way to help the UKs TEAM GB and garner a lot more spectators and watchers for SKY?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIce Hockey is often live on Freesports and has been in previous years.
They have shown many leagues around the world.
This week on Freesports they have the IIHF Championships that has been on for the last few weeks.
They showed the GB games from the World Championships.
Freesports catchup has some recent coverage and also classic British matches.
The NHL league sometimes airs a few matches on Freesports, but its a teaser to the Premier Sports paid for channel on Sky, that shows the NHL in full.
