internet price gone up

please can you tell me why my internet bill has gone up for september and onwards by £4.80 .

sky havent told me there would be a price  change no emails nor letters. it looks like i will be shopping around for someone new .in apriluntil july it was £26.00 then it went to £27.80 and now they are telling me on the webs site billing it will be £30.80 WHY

@cliff2162 You're not talking to Sky, we are all customers here.  Sky won't respond to your post.

 

 It sounds like a discounted period has ended, Sky did tell you when you took out your contract that the discounted period would only last for a set period usually 18 months.   You can check this by looking at your previous bills which will show the discounts.

 

It is up to the customer to make a note of this.  You will need to speak to Sky to agree a new discount, make sure you note how long it s for.    https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-broadband#contact-leave

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

  • I would guess its the 60 days grace on the annual April price increase, but if in doubt call Sky.
Passing on the tips I have learned in over 25 years as a more than satisfied Sky customer.

@cliff2162 annual increase in April each year and possibly end of duscounted period and yiu are reverting to standard pricing. Sky do not offer fixed price contracts and both scenarios are within your terms and conditions. You should put these dates in a diary when you sign up as sky dont send reminders.
