iPlayer UHD?

Yep, UHD content now available in the iPlayer on Q, but plays completely black. Wonder who messed up - BBC or SKY?

The black screen is a feature to fix any UHD lip sync issues according to relase notes. 😀

Anyone else with a V2  2 TB showing UHD on any iPlayer content?

Just checked on my V2 - same as you @oldfella 

(BTW tried both non beta & beta modes)

I only use iPlayer on SKy Q to check anyway as my TV already has UHD version working (as does my Firestick 4K Max should I care to use that)

They've obviously tried to update it again because the app has  gone from 25.17.4.0 to 25.17.5.0 with a later build timestamp. Still no picture on UHD content though.

Looks like this issue relates to V3 2 TB boxes only.  (Don't know about the 1 TB UHD box maybe relates to this as well)

As the V2 boxes don't show any UHD content they don't have the black screen issue.

I wonder if the problem has something to do with refresh rates.  The UHD streams on other devices are at 25Hz and maybe the Sky Q box is expecting 50Hz.

Same on my V2 box, no UHD showing. Not that I use iPlayer on Q either. Anyone got a V1 2TB box and tried iPlayer?

Exactly the same issue here. Do you need Uhd subscription for iplayer Uhd content or is this just a software issue?

I was wondering same. You need Sky UHD subscription to watch Netflix in UHD, maybe they have applied same 'logic' to BBC iPlayer UHD content ?
