Sky sports nfl have their own twitter account and might be best to send it via that follow them on twitter and post a message

https://twitter.com/SkySportsNFL

The only other thing is if they give out an email address during the show but usually it is just social media accounts

What is the issue with sky nfl?

Looking at your user name @Bazza49er

Is it to do with why 49ers have not yet clinched a playoff wildcard place when the philadelphia eagles have a worse record have?

Re: how do i send an email to the skynfl program

When both teams have same record possibly 9-8 if 49ers dont beat the rams.

Tie breaker rules state head to head 4ers beat eagles 17 11 in week 2..

@Bazza49er

So if 49ers win and saints lose - 49ers in with better records 10-7, eagles have better record 9-8 to saints 8-9. Saints miss out

If 49ers lose and saints lose, 49ers are 6th and eagles 7th, 49ers are 6th as they beat eagles, eagles 7th. Saints miss out

If 49ers and saints win, 49ers have better record so 6th with 10-7, eagles and saints 9-8 but eagles beat saints in head to head so eagles are 7th. Saints miss out.

This is the one where 49ers would miss out

If 49ers lose to rams, saints beat falcons, 49ers, eagles, and saints all tie with 9-8 records for 6th, 7th, and 8th place.

The first tie breaker is head to head but as saints did not play 49ers, that is not eligible here.

The next tie breaker comes down to record against other nfc teams

The eagles and saints would both be 7-5 against nfc but 49ers are only 6-6 against other nfc competition. So in this scenario, eagles and saints are in the playoffs and 49ers miss out unfortunately. Eagles and saints are in, 49ers miss out.

I had this worked out last Monday morning at 3am when packers were beating vikings

Re: how do i send an email to the skynfl program

But they did beat the eagles so on a head to head basis that should put them ahead of the eagles !!!

Head to head only counts in 2 way tie or where all teams in the tie play each other

Nfl rules for tiebreakers with three or more clubs
Three or More Clubs

(Note: If two clubs remain tied after one-or-more clubs are eliminated during any step, tiebreaker restarts at Step 1 of two-club format. If three clubs remain tied after a fourth club is eliminated during any step, tiebreaker restarts at Step 2 of three-club format.)

 1. Apply division tiebreaker to eliminate all but the highest ranked club in each division prior to proceeding to step 2. The original seeding within a division upon application of the division tiebreaker remains the same for all subsequent applications of the procedure that are necessary to identify the two Wild-Card participants.
 2. Head-to-head sweep. (Applicable only if one club has defeated each of the others or if one club has lost to each of the others.)
 3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
 4. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games, minimum of four.
 5. Strength of victory in all games.
 6. Strength of schedule in all games.
 7. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed in all games.
 8. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed in all games.
 9. Best net points in conference games.
 10. Best net points in all games.
 11. Best net touchdowns in all games.
 12. Coin toss

When the first Wild Card team has been identified, the procedure is repeated to name the second and third Wild Card (i.e., eliminate all but the highest-ranked club in each division prior to proceeding to Step 2). In situations in which three teams from the same division are involved in the procedure, the original seeding of the teams remains the same for subsequent applications of the tiebreaker if the top-ranked team in that division qualifies for a Wild Card berth.
Step 1 does not apply as each in different divisions

Step 2 does not apply as saints and 49ers did not play. This is Applicable only if one club has defeated each of the others or if one club has lost to each of the others. 49ers beat eagles, eagles beat saints but 49ers did not play saints.

So if all 3 have same record, it is step 3 with the conference record where 49ers have the worse record and would then be eliminated.

This article from sky sports looks at playoff picture and reiterates the conference record

 • The Philadelphia Eagles (9-8),   although they currently sit below San Francisco as the No 7 seed in the conference, are assured of keeping their playoff spot, regardless of results on Sunday by virtue of owning the superior record against NFC opponents.
