TF7s are hard disk errors. Try the Planner Rebuild that @Annie+UK suggested. If it doesn't help the next step would be a full System Reset in the same menu, which unfortunately will delete your recordings. That might restore normal operation, but probably only temporarily. Ultimately the box will need replacing.

I have done the planner rebuild I just have to wait until I record something I have Sky protect so I am not concerned  about  getting a Q box which I assume I will get it just means I won't be able to record programs on a VHS video

I carried out a planner re-build as you suggested touch wood It seems to have worked in the short term thanks very much
