My sky Q and SR203 router are through copper so I only get 30MBPS
I have just got a Three 5G (Huawei) router - which gives up to 800MBPs.
Problem is that the Huawai have very little range , whereas the Sky mesh network (I have a mini box and 2 sky boosters) covers the whole house
In an ideal world I could connec the 5G router to the Sky network so the network feeds of the 5G modem, and not the Sky copper connection. Then I could cancel the Sky broadband contract.
Is such a thing possible please? If so how?
Alternative is to get an Orbi Mesh WifI system (RBK852?) - but that is £600 I could do with not wasting and I would have the hasssle of rebuilding the network and all the many connected devices. Also I have read, when trying to research this, that there may be issues using the Orbi with Sky Q
Any guidance much appreciated

At 800Mbps your choice is a no brainer. However 3rd party routers and having a non sky isp will mean the sky q boxes will connect to the slower (although 800Mbps on 2.4ghz should be plenty) and more prone to interference 2.4 wifi band.
The ideal solution would therefore get a mesh unit close to the sky q and ethernet them to the sky q boxes
The mesh need not be as expensive as the rbk's as you'll be just using them as access points with the wifi turned off on the 5g hub
Finally enter you full postal address below and post the resulting table

Just checking your speed range and fttp (lack off) availability
Looks like three 5g router (wifi switched off) ->mesh system set to access point mode ->ethernet to sky q boxes is the best option for you

NIce one - thanks for quick reply
Now to find a suitable mesh system.
I'm guessing Wifi 6 is someything to go for (because New)?
If anyone has recommendations, gratefuly received (3 story 5bed 1890's semi - with desire to get wifi at end of 100ft garden).

Yes wifi 6 as that will retain most of the router speed (very often more than ethernet).
The asus xt8 zenwifi springs to mind as a tri band (2.4 ghz, 5ghz ac and wifi 6 ax that is as good as the rbk 852 but leaves you less out off pocket. The unit etherneted to the three router can cover 2200 sq ft each with room for 2 more depending on size of house

Twin pack of xt8's (covering 4400 sq ft) from £370 from Amazon to £410 from Currys

I'm sure you'r right as your icon implies you're a diver - so you must be trustworthy
Thanks - I'd put that in my Amazon basket 10 minutes ago 🙂
Will wait to see if there is a sale on Boxing day (as they have been down to £305 in October) .
Looking at the Asus website they don't appear to do a triple pack - presumaby I just buy another single if I want / need more "oomph" on the coverage?
Guessing that I need to resign myself to switching every device in the house to a new network name

Should be a triple on Amazon. Might come in handy having one etherneted to router, one midway and one close to the q box to cut down on amount of ethernet cabling

Or maybe not. Play it by ear two may be enough

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreNot sure the that particular model comes in a triple - the Wi-Fi 5 (or the minis) ones did. I may be incorrect though.

Excellent value in comparison to netgear rbk wifi 6. Checking number of nodes you can use. Reviews say 2 , others have added a 3rd one without issues, See how the twin pack goes 👍
