I did this also with the help of a technician. It worked for one whole day. Now, about 36 hours later, I have the same black screen with the white Apple TV+  logo. The app won't launch at all once again, so Zi cannot get close to a login page. The fault must be Sky's hardware box, as my Apple devices are fine, as usual.

The app is free. Sky are not charging you for it, whether it functions or not. 
If you are paying for Apple TV+ content via monthly subscription then you need to access it via some other means or cancel with Apple directly.

Maybe someone signed up to Apple TV with no other method of watching it other than Sky? Sky control the apps on Q so it is responsible for the quality of it.

Sky should probably suspend apps that don't meet a QOS standards for their own credibility.  I would rate ATV+ and Discovery + in this category.  They are clearly unstable and should have been identified as such at the testing phase.

Mine is paid for (caused a row on Christmas Morning as my Mum said "you won't get it as you have to pay for it" and I didn't want to tell her I had!! 😂 

just wanted to load the app and watch a program without drama - epic fail

Yeah, that's the problem. Sky don't care much about quality, it's all about quantity for them.

I did access it through my sky box and it said it was a free trial then I think £4.99 a month thereafter

Checked everywhere and yes sky dont charge you directly but even if you access it through your sky account you still have a monthly subscription of £4.99 with Apple so you need to cancel it with Apple itself not with sky you only have a free trial then pay monthly to Apple even if signed up  with sky account

I tried this and got to reset part. Now I can't get sky back on at all following the reset. 

have turned off and back on again, I get the initial sky launch sceeen (press home when screen goes blank) which I do and I get nothing at all. 

HELP!

I've also go this same issue.

I've updated the Q box software.

I've power it down and restarted it

I've refreshed the apps in the engineer menu.

No joy.

That is not very helpful. And a lot of hassle for the many viewers affected here.

It's been 1 week now and still no closer.

If there has been a software update, roll it back and give us back the service we are paying for.
