I must admit I'm curious. The 'standard' version was on ITV2 about the time it appeared on Sky Cinema and this thread kicked off. 

As It was on ITV I watched it again and it reminded me why I'd pretty much forgotten the storyline. I wonder how different this 'improved' version can really be. It must surely be the same basic film mustn't it?

I just did and read some of the opinions. 

It reminded me of looking at just eat reviews.

I guess you have to be a fan of the genre.  I'm interested in the art and craft of movie-making so the saga of the original shoot, the reshoot and recut, the studio interference, and now the reversion to the original directors vision is fascinating, but I only lasted 1/3 of the way through the film itself...
