@John+lyon+flowers

I had a wobble a few days in but once you get your head around it well I'd not go back to Q.

Only new gripe is they don't list new TV shows for the coming week like there was on Q. Unless someone knows of one hidden in the UI somewhere 🤔

Re: Who's switching from Q to Stream?

Been trying again with Stream tonight. I just can't deal with the sluggishness of the box. Every other device we have is faster and more intuitive. It's lame.

Re: Who's switching from Q to Stream?

Been reading through these posts, and thought I’d throw my views in to the mix, I had three stream pucks delivered last week, they connected without problem and have a completely stable connection on all three devices, i have fibre FTTP I live in Northern Ireland, and had Sky Q before i moved over, but my landlord over here would not let me have a dish, so i have been waiting for this service for some time now, My findings, the picture quality is far superior to the Freeview channels i was receiving by aerial, the interface is slick, the speed of the UI is very fast and have had no sluggish responses from any of the boxes, I’d say its on par with my Apple TV , It’s been interesting getting used to the Playlist feature, and i must admit now I’m getting use to it, I certainly don't miss the hard drive recording, i notice that some shows that i have in my Playlist are flagged as ‘Recorded’ on the synopsis page, would this be Cloud Recording? seeing as there’s no local recording? Well me and my household are sold on Stream, offers everything we’ve been hoping for and more, as i say this is just me and my families view,

Gincap - the weeks programmes are on the tv guide hold the right side of scroll button and the weeks days pop up at the top then click on which day you want to see guide for .

Ive added itv hub free ads and it's much better now - free week trial but at £1 a week it's a no brainer as so much better experience

two days in and very happy with things - just a question of getting used to having no recording but things seem on the stream apps pretty quickly so all good so far -  maybe  as we on fttp  it helps ?

That's likely to increase next month when ITV X launches. Rumoured to be around £6-7 per month.

I believe the new itv x will include what we now know as BritBox ?

@Villa19

Yes agree for £1 a week it's worth subscribing it's 100% improved experience. Britbox is part of ITVX and the good thing is if you have a Britbox subscription it will roll into ITVX.

I have about 7 months on Britbox to go as I took a 12 month deal so I'm hoping to have ITVX covered for a few months. From what I've read that seems very much to be the case.

Anymore reviews on stream would be grateful.

Is it as good as Q other than recording

Re: Who's switching from Q to Stream?

@John+lyon+flowers I've had Stream for a week and a bit and am very happy with it. I used to have Q but cancelled that a couple of months ago, so I'm a returning customer.
I had one issue on setting it up in that the remote would not work properly. That was fixed with a replacement remote sent the next day. However, after multiple resets I did manage to get the first remote working as well.
Initially I could get no subtitles where they were available but that was fixed with a factory reset, although Sky have also issued a software update that fixes the problem.
I've had the occasional on-screen message saying that I need to move the remote in order to prevent the TV switching itself off to conserve energy. A bit of an annoyance, but I haven't seen that message for a couple of days now.

I've got used to the Playlist system and, so far, don't have any issues with that.

All the apps I subscribe to work well and I think the picture and sound is great on my LG Oled and Sonos surround sound system.

Overall I'm very happy with Stream and think the price I'm paying is fair and would happily recommend it to others. All in all it's a thumbs up from me.

I've had sky streaming for just the over 2 days now I personally don't think it is as easy to use as sky Q  ( one ) tv planner no way of setting reminders (two) TV planner again to jumper day ahead is rather awkward rather than just pressing one button to go 24 hours ahead  but that would be about it  one would think it would be an instruction book. How do use it properly e.g. like how to find the TV Guide how to jump forward on the TV Guide and stuff like that.

Re: Who's switching from Q to Stream?

I've had Sky Stream now for nearly a week.  I liked the stream puck enough to order a second one so all TV's have a stream puck now (was just going to use Sky Go on the Apple TV on one of them).  I have it for F1 and this weekend all sessions were available in my playlist marked as recorded or recording if still happening when it accessed it.  They even extended the recording of the race to account for the significant delay.

I had Sky Glass when it launched and I can say that the software/infrastructure has become a lot more stable compared to those early days.  Worst thing that happend to me was a bit of a choppy live stream of a channel once or twice but I got around that by pausing for a while or changing channel and changing back.

Im only using it for HD and not UHD but ive been impressed with the picture quality.  I know I can cancel with 31 days notice but for me Sky Stream is a keeper.  Really pleased with it so far.
