Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
Like many others. rightly or wrongly I decided to stick with glass. I have regretted this quite regularly, but made that decision. I know people are saying we are guinea pigs, but surely this should not be the case, I didn't buy Sky Glass as a beta poject it was supposed to be a fully tested completely customer ready system. I didn't buy in to being a guinea pig for Sky. I certainly got no reduction for being a "tester".

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
@leopard+lady It's really no different to buying a new iPhone and living with the glitches until Apple release software updates. This is a completely new way of watching TV and there will always be issues. If you don't want to deal with being a Guinea pig then the advise, with all new technology, is not to jump at the first chance of investing time, and money, in being first. I've had my Glass/Puck for just under 2 weeks and although annoying as hell I'll deal with the issues (if I can) when they come along 😉

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
I'd hardly call watching streamed programs as. "a completely new way of watching TV" @JanTK Also, I would have thought a massive company like Sky would have Beta tested their product thoroughly BEFORE marketing it? Have you seen the various Discussion Groups under Sky Glass? The topmost asked questions relate to the Glass Playlist, page after page of them, mostly to do with the inability to REMOVE programs from it.
I read this part of a Review of the Glass TV recently:- https://www.expertreviews.co.uk/sky/1414653/sky-glass-review
"It’s important to note that Sky Glass doesn’t, and cannot, record TV like Sky Q, and this may ultimately be what proves its undoing. Instead, users add the content they want to watch later to their “Playlist”, where it becomes accessible according to the restrictions of the streaming/catchup service it first appeared on. This means many programmes aren’t available at all, or – in the case of BBC programmes, for example – will only be available for a certain period of time. It’s not as flexible a system as Sky Q, where you can record any programme, watch it whenever you like and keep it on your hard disk in perpetuity".

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
Absolutely mystified by the ongoing issues on this.
When I've finished watching a series or programme in my Play List, I highlight it and remove it and it disappears from my Play List.
Yes, the last one I watched remains on the Play Now rail, but it will fall off eventually. No problem. I don't understand everyone else's issues.

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
can you remove a programme if you start it then don't like it? Do you not get random stuff that you haven't put on there? If yours works seamlessly to remove stuff I wish I had your TV!!!

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
@Jon+Reeve my issue is only with BBC programs I've added that I'm forced to view via iPlayer. Everything else I can remove with no problems.

If I start a programme and don't like it, it sits there on the Play Now rail NOT in my Play List.
This doesn't bother me. It will fall off eventually. It does not go in my Play List unless I actually add it. It works for me like I would expect it to work.

We watched The Tourist which we added to our Play List at Christmas and finished watching it the other night. I went to my Play List and removed it after we'd finished watching it and it disappeared like I'd expect it to.
The last episode still sits in the Play Now rail but that's fine. It'll fall off as more recent things are watched.

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
@Jon+Reeve It's not about them "falling off" eventually, albeit something have yet to experience. It's about them being CONTINUALLY added back the next day when I'm DONE with them....answers on a Postcard please...

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
The Play Now bar is within the Play List. So Play List is where all programs you've added to watch from the TV planner are located along with ones you've started watching from whatever source you get them ... Netflix, iplayer, ITV hub .. you get my gist.
Play Now bar is where the most recent episode that you haven't watched, but that is available will show up.
That's the theory anyway if I've got it right 😬

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
@leopard+lady I am talking about my Playlist, the program LINGO cannot be removed from MY Playlist, I can select View all on the Playlist ICON/TILE, that opens the Play now Rail. There I can Fast Forward, (FFWD), the latest episode of LINGO to its end, and it is removed, if you get the timing right at the very end of FFWD. It's best use PLAY for the last minute or so, then go back to whatever you were watching..
I then go back to my Playlist, and Praise the Lord and Halleluiah, LINGO has GONE.....BUT, the next day at just after 4pm GMT, the end of LINGO's scheduled transmission time, LINGO is BACK in my Playlist..and so it goes on and on and on and on.....
