Has anyone reset their glass tv and needed to activate it on their account? I have code the 6 digit code and enter the code on the website. The website says it's worked and the device is linked to the account but nothing changes on the TV. Have spoken to sky and they say that you should reset it unless it's getting sent back as a return because it can't be reactivated and the only solution is for a replacement TV. Surely that can't be the case, has anyone done this and have any ideas of things I can do? Currently using the TV just to watch Freeview...

How did you do the factory reset, I used the unplug and hold side button procedure

That was how I did it too. It went through the motions of reloading software but it just stays on the screen with the linking code.

No, it's not linked. The website says it was successful but the TV never changes and sits there on the code. The only thing I can do is press the skip button which allows me to view Freeview, access the 3 HDMI or try to link again, which doesn't work.

Could try a different process on the sky account instead of using the /activatenow sky link.
Login to account on sky website select manage glass, there is an option to activate sky glass product has a plus sign, use that.

I've tried it many times. Its always the same thing. The plus on the glass devices website literally takes you to the sky.com/activate page too so same result there.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI had to go through this earlier as my dad had reset his puck and couldn't get it to activate. The way Iv described worked then, sadly if it isn't working for you I'd advise you call sky and insist they do the activation.

Ah no worries. They have said they can't and have ordered another one (for this and other faults) but it's another couple of weeks before it arrives. I was just hoping there would be some way to get more than Freeview out of it in the meantime.
