UHD on multi-room

Hi

I understand that it's only possible to watch UHD on your main Sky Q 2TB box, and not on the Sky minis.

Im about to get a second 4K TV. Is there any way I can watch UHD on this too? Like getting a second main Sky Q box?

Thanks

Not possible no. You can only have one main sky Q box.

You can't have 2 main Q boxes, any you see for sale eleswhere are stolen, so don't be tempted. They won't work.

Re: UHD on multi-room

im frustrated with this too, multiroom costs an extra 15 pounds a month and the mini boxes can only do hd which is pretty standand today. so not happy and sky needs to get their act together. also charging twice for hd is also out dated hd for your package and hd for sky sports. sky store needs a shake up too you still cannot buy uhd movies only rent them. streaming services like netflix and amazon etc are leaving sky behind, even disney+ streams in uhd and its 7.99 a month. i have a 4k fire t.v in my bedroom and to watch netflix or disney+ i go through the t.v app to watch in 4k as going through the sky mini box those apps are hd only and i dont pay disney+ another 7.99 for multiroom either. as for standard def who has got a 20 year old t.v today. come on sky listen to your customers and sort these issues out.

@howdy12. It is well known that Mini boxes have never been capable of UHD and I doubt this will ever change. You don't pay for HD on Sky Sports it is included as standard. A lot of older people will still have 20 year old TV sets.

Although it does appear as itemised - but you cannot remove it.  (It's part of the total cost for Sports)

Indeed, anecdotally (from posts on here), a lot of people are happy to remove HD to save a few quid.  If it was included as standard then everyone's bill would go up.  Indeed, I'm aware of people that can't actually see a difference between SD and HD!

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own
