Technical Fault with BBC1

When watching BBC1 , if I try to pause or rewind, it tells me that there is a techical fault.

 

Also, for any recordings of a BBC1 programme, I can only watch the recording in its entirety, I can't fast forward, rewind or pause the recording, if I do, it says that there is a technical fault, and go backs to the very beginning of the recording.

@Losgar Have you tried rebooting your box ie

unplug your box from the wall for 30 seconds
then
plug it back in again
and
follow the onscreen instructions
