Re: TechRadar Review

"A Puck was not supplied for review."

Because judging by the numbers of people complaining on here, they don't work very well...

300 nits HDR peak luminance. Even I am shocked at how low that is. Surely that can't be right?

@tarbat I wonder if they left the settings on the default and did not do as Vincent Teoh advised in his video  of turning off the auto backlight etc.

Re: TechRadar Review

So there it is from Wired. The panel is budget. HDR is barely fit for purpose. Shame, as (bugs aside) it's ok in other respects.

I did wonder that. However, presumably most customers will leave the settings on default, as that's the settings that Sky recommend, since they advise against changing the default settings.

Re: TechRadar Review

If you think the picture look good then you have no idea what a good tv is, sky hope its people like yourself that buy this rubbish 😂

it's a poor man tv that for sure

Re: TechRadar Review

@Technologywizzard  What made you the expert?bit rude to assume it's a poor man's tv I can assure you I make more than enough to buy a decent tv,made sense for me to get it,if everyone liked the same thing we would be pretty boring, just because you don't like it because your probably trying to compare it to a high end tv like an OLED doesn't mean you can bash other people for having it,your probably one of these people that has a OLED and think your better than everyone, don't think you e heard the saying if you haven't got anything nice to say don't say anything at all,and fyi I have had a OLED before and decent spec tvs so don't assume I don't know what I'm talking about

Re: TechRadar Review

@M3rk @Urban+Splash don't forget that Tech Radar and What Hi-Fi are from the same stable.  Steve May who wrote the review for Tech Radar has reviewed TVs for many years and I'm sure his name will pop up against reviews for other sites / magazines.  I have always thought Steves reviews were very good as they are a broad view of all the features good and bad and rates the product overall not on just one specific.

Re: TechRadar Review

@Anonymous  I've always found Steve's reviews pretty much spot on he does know what he's talking about, but I guess with reviews sometimes you've just got to make up your own mind and not follow what everyone thinks 👍
