Re: Support with your Sky bill

My direct debit has bounced due to no funds in my account and due to come out this week however i don't get paid now until the 8th May. I am a key worker and working from home and WIFI is utter most essential. What do I do? If I have no WiFi I won't be able to woek and we are a company who is providing all the electrical supplies for the hospitals etc

Re: Support with your Sky bill

After four phone calls to sky I thought I'd got to issue sorted but looking on my account online it shows for May a bill of £73 instead of the agreed subscription of £66 .Could someone from sky get in touch as it's difficult to phone them these days ,thanks

Re: Support with your Sky bill

@Gemstar82  we'll surely if you're a key worker isn't it incumbent on you to make sure your account has sufficient funds to service your Sky subscription? You will have to join the phone queue in order to speak to Sky.

Hi @Mrs+Rosemary+Hugh ,

I'm afraid we can't access customer accounts on the forum. You can view your billing account online or try to get in touch with us directly.

Please note our phone lines are very busy at the moment and it may take a while before you get through. See Contacting us during the COVID-19 pandemic for more info.

Re: Support with your Sky bill

I was off Ill for three weeks!! Hence not having the funds. In the account before the lockdown and decisions to work from home was made. Clearly it will be priority in the foreseeable future

Re: Support with your Sky bill

Are you offering to defer payments for 3 months, due to corona virus financial problems.

Most bill companies are doing this.

Hi @Jeukle What is the meaning of deferred payments.

temporary postponement of the payment of an outstanding bill or debt, usually involving repayment by instalments.

Suggests that Sky will not be paying your bill for the deferred period so if something is postponed payments will need to resume  at a later date.

Re: Support with your Sky bill

@best+of+the+best  my understanding of these payment holidays is that when your payments resume it will be your normal payment plus a percentage of what's outstanding from the payment holiday. If you have multiple paused payments then your outgoings are going to be eye watering when the payment holidays come to an end.

@Piesarus Exactly my understanding is if you can't afford it now how can you afford it after the payment holidays resume.

We don't know how long this lockdown is going to last and how long it will take for the CJRS (coronavirus job retention scheme) to get up and running.

My Job is classed as essential I'm at risk every day just like the NHS never knowing which day will be my last.

Re: Support with your Sky bill

Hi,

During March my bill went up by over £20 - was this because I was out of contract? I had indicated last year to Sky to contact me when the contract came to an end, which they have obviously failed to do.  Unfortunately I can't talk to anybody to discuss this. Also, will they give compensation to those who have bought Sky Sports as part of the package (because there is no live sport) or is it best to cancel the package and then upgrade when things get back to normal? Typical Sky - they leave it up to you to contact them.

Re: Support with your Sky bill

Heyy I'm back!

direct debit came out today for £134; no funds in account however managed to pay £100 online through a friend. Will this counteract the direct debit  and still keep me online with the balance outstanding only being £34 now?

thank you in advance 🙂
