Speaker tests on you tube - anyone else getting no bass sounds?

@Scousegunner  It's a shame that it hasn't lived up to some peoples expectations, I totally understand the frustration. For me it was the reality vs the advertised quality. 

What do you plan on doing next?

@Nigel+Whiting  I went though resets and was able to get some bass eventually at an acceptable level. Iv resigned myself to the fact that it can't compete with other sound bars but is a great inbetween for tv speakers and a sound bar. 

I do to an extent bug into the theory that some software could improve things but time will tell in this one.

What resets did you do?

I did factory and did sound reset but no different

That's basically what I did, but they also did some sort of backend reboot they took my MAC address for the glass and it rebooted by itself and then repeated the resets and then tested again and I started getting LFE sound from the Dolby test.

@Nigel+Whiting  Others have tried though and reported no change so I can't say with confidence that these things will change anything. Including replacement tvs and nothings changed.

I have called them and they said wait until dec 2nd for software update if it doesn't fix problem then they will send out a new unit also the UHD doesn't work properly neither which is a known issue to them and they have a fix for that

Thanks I will call them when finished work tomorrow and see if I get a good agent knows about the issues

There is a hell of a lot being promised in this update, could be the reason it was delayed from its initial release that was last week.

Ok, new Glass unit delivered and set up, **bleep** the difference in sound now is incredible, can actually hear a nice deep bass, the night mode, and extra bass all work.

Mine problem with the old unit at least must have been a hardware issue, thankfully all good now.

I'm waiting on my new unit being delivered tomorrow meanwhile after a factory reset I can't even access the sky glass it won't let me activate the subscription as I've already done it when I set tv up , I'm hoping the new unit allows me to activate

@Nick2107 is the difference using bass boost noticeable or obvious? Just wondering if you can clearly hear a difference or if it is subtle, can you actutferl the subwoofer output?

just trying to workout if I need a replacement Glass.

The old unit, had no real bass at all, extra bass and night mode did nothing.

The new unit today it's 100% better, extra bass and night mode now work treat, I would say it's now on par with my old Sony sound bar. It was definitely a hardware issue for my old one.

If I we're you or anyone, I wouldn't be waiting for some mythical update that might just work, I'd be on the phone now getting a new unit.

@Nick2107 Thanks, I've spoken to Sky this afternoon, waiting for them to call me back, I see no impact from bass boost, night mode or enhanced speech, so will see what they come back back with.
