Hi, I'm trying to list my Sky Q recordings by expiry date so that I can watch the ones which are due to expire soon before they are automatically removed. I can't find anyway to this other than to go through the "Most recent" recordings one by one to work out which ones have short expiry dates. Can anyone help me with a way to find the recordings due to expire in the next two weeks quickly?
Thanks
David

Unfortunately no such option

Only downloaded recordings expire. Regular recordings don't.

@Daveybhoy you're right, I should have said download, not recordings.

It's not unknown for Recordings to expire due to withdrawal of Sky's rights .
Disney content comes to mind.
However it's very rare.

If you have Multiscreen, you can use Sky Go to have a look at the downloads on your box and see when they are due to expire. Some downloads won't expire and some will. But that's how you can check the expiry dates that are more then 30-days out or if there are any.
Another way is to go to the What's On forum section and ask. Start a thread for asking when downloads expire. That way we won't have a separate thread for every download.

Thanks @LGUser. That's the kind of thing I've been doing. It's all very time consuming and leads to missing expiry dates and hence recordings being deleted before you watch them. I was hoping for something more like an automated list.

Well, if you take note of the expiry dates, you can put a calendar entry in your phone to be notified to start watching these before they expire.

Not very practical @LGUser
Assuming the Expiry dates appear 30 days from expiry, all downloads would need checking daily to see if any are due to Expire.
You will just have to accept there is no short cut or option available.

But there is a shortcut available. If you have multiroom, you can use Sky Go to connect to the box and check the exiry dates for downloads.

I agree @oldfella, short of manually checking recordings daily, it doesn't seem to be easy to track expiring recordings.
@LGUser, I was hoping that there would be an option in the Sky Q menu system to list all the recordings with expiry dates in the order in which they expire. I've added a suggestion to this effect in the

Assuming it still stands that Expiry does not show until 30 days prior this also would be impractical.

Using the Sky Go App is no different to looking at the Recordings in the Q box.
You would still need to do this daily.
Why would you need to do this daily? Once you get the expiry date (if there is one) then that's it. You don't need to look at those entries again. You'd only need to look if you've donwloaded something else.
You can keep a speradsheet or text file listing the programs/movies that have an expiry date and keep them sorted earliest to latest.

The JSON data available from the Sky Q box does provide all expiry dates. I currently can see dates up to December 2026. The challenge is getting sensible access to the JSON data. I use a spreadsheet once a week to check for expiry dates. If you have the JSON and Excel skills it is possible, just a shame Sky don't display the expiry dates for all users to see.
