I have been selling telecoms for 20 years and I have checked the availability of SoGEA to my premise which shows live on gamma and openreach.
I called into sky to request a migration to be advised that I cannot as BT have first dibs on SoGEA- this i know is a load of garbage!
I understand that sky may not be able to migrate me becuase of your internal processe, but to be mis informed like this is terrible- Ofcom will not allow Openreach to offer preferential treatment to one supplier to give them unfai market place advantage.
If someone could come back to me as I knwo that the cabinet is EFM upgraded to allow SoGEA to service my premise.
If sky wont migrate me within 2 weeks then after 9 years im off.... the reason is down to latency and reliability for voip calls. I still have fttc on pstn....
I have been waiting for SogEA to go live please help me and retain my custom.
Thanks JJ

They won't do that: this forum isn't a contact point with support, and frankly they're very unlikely to know what you're on about anyway.
I suspect what's actually happening is Sky is rather slow at updating its own sales database with changes made by Openreach: not being able to order FTTP from Sky despite it being available from other providers has become a frequent post here.

Re: SoGEA
@Mr.Unhappy to be clear SOGEA is Openreach's Single Order Generic Ethernet Access product and refers to the provision of voice services over the IP service and discontinuation of the voice service over copper? It is as far as the broadband service a standard FTTC connection. There is its amusingly named alternative product SOGFast which is its G.Fast companion. There are GEAFTTP products of course. For anyone who doesnt understand this subject this useful article explains more.
Sky have been compelling new customers on certain exchanges to accept SOGEA which means using a dedicated Sky hub with a connection for a standard phone. Indeed Sky was one of the first ISPs trialling SOGEA. I have not heard that Sky has started transferring exisiting customers presumably to avoid paying Openreach's set up fee. I also believe Sky may currently have a limited supply of the necessary SR203 hubs due to the worldwide electronics component issue.
You are the first person I have heard of who wants SOGEA, most want to avoid it, as the voice service requires use of Sky's hubs which restricts options and of course disables other phone sockets. Not heard it had any advantage as far as the latency is involved so can you link to a source?
Sky will not respond to a forum post so I would write to them as with these type of queries are not something their customer service agents can deal with even if they understand the question as Sky's systems will not let them place an order for a non-existent product. There is one other possible issue if I understand your post correctly Sky do not allow any second broadband connection at one address - it is company policy.

Re: SoGEA
As I understand it, EFM is a specific product available over copper as a business service in very limited (and typically densely urban) areas, roughly analogous to a traditional leased line and offering symmetrical bandwidth (over a short phone cable run) at less than 'leased line' cost but still considerably more than a domestic broadband subscription. SoGEA broadband provision to households from most exchanges will be generic asymetric FTTC/FTTP, with the eventual aim of FTTP becoming the only bearer type.
The 'Ethernet' bit of SoGEA is quite frankly very misleading* ; )
*although technically correct, which as we all know is the best kind of correct...

Re: SoGEA
@Mr.Unhappy think you are going to have to buy elswhere Sky are primarily a mass market domestic ISP although they are now sticking a toe into the SME market with a new offer but the product range is limited see https://businessconnect.sky.com
There are specialist isps who can offer EFM but Sky is not one of them.
