Re: SkyQ Download Failed Item Unavailable
@Anonymousthe probability of this being a bt issue not sky is tiny. All bt are providing is an internet connection. Unless bt are explicitly blocking traffic to sky's servers there is little they could be doing. I can use any service over BT that you can name (browsing, Netflix, Disney plus, Amazon, tor, voip, etc etc) they all all basically just using the same network protocols.
Sky are just deflecting with pointing the finger at BT imo. If I was BT I'd be looking to get sky to make a clear statement on this or take them to court. People could easily believe this and change their isp to sky if they believed them.
Personally I'm giving Sky till the end of the week otherwise they lose my contract. Their handling of this situation is very poor.

Re: SkyQ Download Failed Item Unavailable
@BlueJ1975 - Sorry - s/w level = software level - you can get this from the system info page on your Sky box.

Re: SkyQ Download Failed Item Unavailable
OK, just spoke with Sky and they have admitted they have what he called "a state wide issue" with Sky on demand through third party ISP's (not just BT, but as BT are the biggest most of the calls are coming from BT customers). He said they are working on it to roll out a fix but he has not update as to progress right now but did acknowldge this is affecting lots of customers and therefore has a high priority. He mentioned the DNS changes to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 but did acknowledge this is a "work around" and would work for everyone or even if it did it would only be temporary.....
He got me to repair my viewing card and then resent the signals to my box as he said that has worked for a couple of customers...but I need to give it 2-4 hours to see if it makes any difference...it may not. Will report back either way...
In short, they recognise the problem and are working on it...didn't ask about compensation, they have it on my account this hasn't been working since the 29th so once this is resolved (fingers crossed) I will then push for something....

Re: SkyQ Download Failed Item Unavailable
Great Post. Thanks.
My Q box jas been off several hours and when switched on I had to reconnect to my router. Putting in the password and all. So I guess things are happening behind the scenes.
