I wonder if any of the Sky employees that monitor the forum will bother to comment on this. 27 pages of comments leads me to believe that this is quite a serious issue for users. Would be good for it to be acknowledged.

@danskydan  if you scroll up the thread you will find posts from a Sky Community Manager asking for information and giving some updates on the issue.

Quite, Sky have acknowledged the issue, probably caused by BT, and that they are working on it. Firmware to fix issues such as this cannot just be 'magically' resolved in a few days, and that also depends upon BT's cooperation.

As for the standard SkyQ setup, with a SkyQ hub, I downloaded loads of on demand episodes last night without any issues.

Unfortunately when you go to alternative providers with their hubs you will always run a risk of a compatibility issue cropping up that Sky, although willing to resolve, cannot be held accountable for. No one has produced any technical evidence yet to say that they are either...

Don't know about everybody else but mine is now working  properly again.

I did the following:

1. set dns to 8.8.8.8  then reboot - result one download worked, 2nd failed

1. set dns to original values and then reboot - result one download worked and 2nd failed

ergo it is the reboot that allows the download to work, not the DNS value. 

Sky - clearly a software bug and nothing to do with BT routers or otherwise. Own up and get it fixed please.

@BlueJ1975  Not working for me, though I am on Sky+HD. Hopefully any fix will be rolled out to ALL Sky boxes, whether Sky Q or Sky+HD.

@cuke  if Sky don't want to be held responsible for their product when used with other routers, then they should go back to restricted the service to Sky broadband customers only, as it was originally. 

Where have Sky acknowledged it's "probably caused by BT" I've seen nothing to confirm that apart from one other poster on here keep saying it. 

I'm assuming that would lose them quite a few customers though.

Getting on to a month now for me this is absolutely disgusting I keep getting fobbed off, I can't see this being fixed by Christmas we should get reimbursed for it! I actually don't even care about the money I just want it bloody fixed.

I'm with BT and don't use the ISP supplied router, so it has absolutely zero to do with BT's routers, when i'm getting the same problem.

This is obviously a Sky issue.

Apparently there's a lot of Sky Broadband customers who have been without internet for days. Tried downloading again a little while ago and it downloaded the first episode, failed on the next four or five, downloaded another then failed again on the rest. So, out of a series with ten episodes it managed to download ep 1 and 6
