My system is hit and miss. Trying to watch series 1 of Temple and now cant download episode 6 onwards

I have been having the same problem for about a week. Sometimes if I try to downliad it and it is unsuccessful I notice that it turns up in my recordings the next day..

i've changed the DNS to 8.8.8.8 and it worked once thats all. If I change the firmat to SD it maupy sometimes do it.

Spoke to a Sky Agent, they said they had not been made aware. I suggested he pop on to this forum so he can be better informed for when he gets this raised as an issue from a customer. He said that he wouldn't donthat asnthey would inform him the normal way internally. I stated the obvious that they hadn't.

He said to just keep an eye on Sky's websites for an update. He didn't even volunteer an emgineer visit!!

i do wonder if, like others, its the server being overwhelmed by Sky Glass.

i think its very poor that we aren't getting an update from them on this forum.

i asked the agent to put a note on my records regarding a refund. He stated that it doesn't mean I will get one from recording I feel entitled to one.

You already know I have proved thats its not the BT\wifi connection as I'm using a SKY router the SKY Engineer fitted and I get the same issue over ethernet from it.

Remember you said it was illegal???

I'm on BT and having these issues too since Thursday. I either get download failed or it manages to work then I get a pixilated show.

My mum has Sky broadband and it works fine on hers.

One thing I did try was download shows I couldn't download at 5am before work and they all downloaded fine.

Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

I have been having the same problem for days, all downloads fail. I have tried all the suggestions on this forum to no avail. I do have a BT router which is working perfectly for all other purposes.  I pay a lot of money for this rubbish service - Sky please fix or I'm of to BT TV

Had an engineer here today  installing a brand new Sky Q system as previous one had failed.

It's an issue Sky are aware of as they are fixing the "not subscribed" issue too.

Same issue as all above have been unable to download anything for several days now. Everything else works fine, just affecting downloads. Main box hooked to BT router via Ethernet. This needs a resolution judging by the amount of people reporting it clearly a significant issue.

Same problem as everyone else! Will not download any sky programmes. On BT Fibre 2, Download 56, upload 11. Managed to get one episode to 15% this morning before showing Failed Download again, then for the next half hour just getting Download failed straightaway.  I notice everyone saying that it's only on sky programmes but i did have a problem with downloading ep 5 of Murder Island on 4 yesterday and had to watch that ep on YT, but that is the only time i have had any problem downloading from anything other than sky programmes.

Glad I found this thread, now I know it's not just me!

Same issues as everyone else and with BT.

Tried all the usual and the DNS 'fix' but no joy ☹️

Just one thing though, I noticed another user had commented that their Sky engineer had fitted a Sky router, between their Sky Q box and BT Router. I too had this fitted, when I had Sky Q fitted. When I queried the engineer, he said 'BT is too fast for Sky Q, so we fit this to slow it down' 😂 

Never heard anything so ridiculous in my life.

Just adding my comments to be counted. Sporadically able to download some content from Sky and BBC but otherwise get 'item unavailable' message. Been on the same kit since 2016. Sky Q version Q180.000.16.00L(5f5ezi8). Hardware 32C006. BT Smart Hub Type A. 
Very frustrating lack of service. Clearly an issue at Sky end and nothing to do with equipment which has been working fine for years up until yesterday. Also Netflix and Disney apps running on Sky box have no issue streaming and since these apps use the Sky spooling mechanism (judging by blue circle rotating) it's not an issue at my end. 

Common sky get this fixed...Christmas is coming!

Having exactly the same exasperating experience as everyone else - downloads continue to fail. You really would think that Sky would at least admit there is an issue

So had same problem with trying to watch 

Landscapers on my minibus

Kept saying cannot play content on this device

I deleted the re downloaded at its now playing ok
