Sky go is using my mobile data

I've just gone on to a sim only contract which said sky go will not use any of your mobile data but it is. How do I connect properly

What makes you say it is using your data, are you looking at your phones settings that will show data as being used ?

As per Sky's onw website

 

Sky apps, like Sky Go, will still show as using mobile data in your device settings. But don’t worry, this won’t come out of your monthly plan. It’s just streaming adverts that might use up some of your data allowance as explained in 'Sky TV subscription' below. The link below explains what does & doesn't use mobile data on Sky Go
