Sky VS Building Management

Morning all,

Iv just had my 3rd sky engineer out in a month now.

I have a sky+ HD box which was working OK for years, since November I have lost certain channels but not all Atlantic, BT Sport, Box, Film 4 to name a few.

I'm Now stuck in the middle between my Landlord and Sky, nobody else in my block of 9 flats has this issue only me. The latest engineer has today checked my signal strength and said its fine, they have swapped my box to  single feed and its no better yet I now can't record anything either.

They're blaming transponders and saying its a management issue where as the building management are blaming sky saying there report has flaws and all the dB readings are fine. To be honest I'm at my witts end and I just want to watch TV, can anybody please help

I don't have BT Sport, but the other channels you mention are fine so it's not a  broadcast issue. You could buy a cheap used box from ebay to prove that it's not a problem with your Sky box (and I very much doubt it is). You could try replacing the flyleads between the box and the wall socket, if there are any.  Other than that, it looks like a communal system signal issue, regardless of what building management say.

Re: Sky VS Building Management

The report I have from the building management company shows that 64 of the 67 transponders have a signal strength of 13.7 and above there is also people in my block using sky Q and sky+ with no issues.

Hence the reason they are saying its not there fault.
