Hi hoping someone can help. We have sky broadband and talk. For the past month we've had no incoming or out going phone calls (I know it sounds daft but there's only really a couple of people that call on it - elderly relatives and most of the time we use mobiles)
anyway we have internet but the voice light is not lit up on the box, I've checked all the cables. It's not showing as being a fault on the line and I've reset the box a couple of times but it's still not working.
can anyone suggest anything?

Posted by a Sky employeeAfter speaking with cryan we ran a line test which detected an external fault and arranged for an Openreach engineer to resolve this shortly.
It was a pleasure speaking with you today cryan.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@cryan Have you tried this link? https://www.sky.com/help/diagnostics/fix-problems-with-your-phone/check-your-phone-line
If that doesn’t help you will have to contact Sky. They can check your line and if an external fault is found they will pass it to Openreach to investigate/fix.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@cryan Try contacting Sky by other means. If you have Sky Mobile you can dial free on 150. If you can't, then post back on here and someone with the relevant level may escalate your post to Sky.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@cryan as @Daniel0210 posted, you'll need to report this to Sky. I've highlighted your post to them, so hopefully one of Sky's Community advisers will be able to help you via the forum. Look out for a blue chat 'bubble' or an emailed invitation to a live chat over the next few hours. You could, of course, give Sky a call, of you prefer.

probably shouldn't say this but a little bit infurated. Was told that there was an external fault with the phone and an engineer would be out they wouldn't have to attend the premises.- I thought this would be great as im
working from and had quite enough of Sky stopping me from doing my job, for this week!
only to get a call this afternoon to say they want to come round and test the line again!! So yet again I'm going to be stopped from doing my job!! I'm going to start billing sky soon for all the lost hours!!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI presume as you've posted on this thread you have a problem with your landline. What is happening? What have you tried?
If your landline phone line isn’t plugged into the back of your broadband hub, use this link to run a test on the line.
https://www.sky.com/help/diagnostics/fix-problems-with-your-phone/check-your-phone-line
If that doesn’t help, post back on here and some of us here will be able to escalate your problem to Sky. Openreach normally aim to fix reported faults within 3-5 working days.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Lynda+PWhen was this fault reported to Sky, this will help to give you further information of when this fault might be fixed. Also if you are able to check my account, track orders. If you are unable to ask someone you trust to check this for you.
