hi @Pablo1956 the SKy boxes have no volume controls at all - the volume is controlled by your TV (or Soundbar/ sound system)

Re: Sky Q volume settings

So why do I have a volume control on my SKY-Q remote control? not there for a fashon accessory.

As already explained to you, the volume controls on the remote control 3rd party equipment such as a a TV, Amp or sound bar.

Q only outputs digital sound and there's no concept of a master volume.

Your issue seems to be with your other equipment but being rude to other customers isn't helpful.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

The volume controls on your SKY remote are 'paired ' with your TV to adjust your TV  volume  - i.e. it is set to use the same 'codes' as your TV remote uses - just a convenient way of not needing to use separate remote controls
