Sky Q mini box subscription

I have a 1tb main Qbox and 1 mini Q box. Keen to get another mini box but unsure if then have to pay additional to the current mini box fee I pay? I know I can only watch 2 of the boxes at once but having a 3rd in another room would save kids fighting!

There's no additional subscription as you have multiroom already.

You just need to order an additional mini box - £50 one-off I believe.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own

Hi @Dubford , I take it you have Sky Experience?,if so. you would pay a one off payment (price dependant on how persuasive you are 😉) for another mini box,there is no monthly fee for mini boxes and you would be able to watch both mini's and main Sky Q box at the same time,another factor is you need to check if your 1TB is one of the newer models as the first one's could only run 1 x mini.

@DubfordNo additional subscription. This is how you can order one from your Q Box.

On your Sky Q TV Main box Home -> My Account -> Upgrade and accessories -> Browse Shop -> Sky Q Mini boxes.

@kop32

There's no such thing as Sky Experience any more, apart from legacy packages. You just need Multiscreen now.

Re: Sky Q mini box subscription

Why was I not told by the customer service rep I would need a sky wireless mini box in order to use the TV in another room,.

Is it my fault that I didn't say iv got 2 tv,s ??

I upgraded to sky Q last week because my Internet connection was crap, today the engineer came and installed my new box, and then I get told that the magic eye in my other room will not work with the new box, no one told me when I agreed to the new contract, now im being told I can either pay a one off fee of £50 or I can have the mini box free but have to take out another 18 Month contract of £10 a month, that would be a total cost for Sky of £76 its bloody disgusting, and its to late for me to cancel as iv agreed.

I am very disappointed in sky.

How would Sky know that you wanted to watch on a second TV if you didn't tell them?
