All cables manufactured by "Licenced HDMI adopters" should be labeled as required by the HDMI organisation. As HDMI is a registered trademark no one else should use it.

Totally agree @bob1234 but counterfeits exist especially if bought through small traders bringing in gear from the Far East ask an Trading Standards Officer - anyone want a cheap Rolex? 😉
