Do I need a new Sky Q Box

My Sky Q box started behaving weird.

Not downloading thumbnails for my recordings, then not responding to the inputs from the remote, then just nothing.....black screen.


My box now won't turn back on.

 

Followed all the steps on the help pages right through to software update.

it went through steps 1 & 2 of the software update then shut down.

 

Box still won't turn on and remains at ORANGE.

 

I'll need to call Sky help in the morning to presumably get a new box.

Can anyone suggest anything else I can try before SKY help lines open again tomorrow morning? Or if it sounds like a new box is the only outcome?

@AKonSKY get the box swapped out as it sounds like a complete failure.

@AKonSKY have you checked that your remote is acyually working   try pressing where the orange light is if the box comes on then your remote may need to be re-paired. If the box remains on the orange standby light then yes you need to contact Sky for a replacement box

I went through the full reset process again with SKY on the phone last night.
Took an hour, but the guy was really decent and nice so all good.

He determined the box needed to be replaced and that he would send my case to a SKY verification team who would call me today to confirm the delivery of the new box.
They were due to call between 10am and 11am, but I have heard nothing

Is there a SKY mod or rep on here who can help me??
I just want to be certain my replacement box is on the way.
