Sky Q internet issues

Sky Q downloads are killing the internet for other devices, no issues if downloading on amazon  or Netflix. 
Has anyone had this issue or got a solution, we have only just noticed the issue and have had the Sky Q for nearly 2 years

What is your internet speed?  Does this happen at certain times of the day or all the time?  Are you downloading uhd or in hd?  Are you downloading over WiFi?

One solution you could try is to use an Ethernet cable from your router to your sky q box and see if that makes things better.

We are not on high speed , the average speed is about 16Mb/s, once the Sky Q box starts a download it drops to 2Mb/s or can't even get test to run. 

Downloads are HD via WiFi.

I was trying to run a Skype voice only call the other night but it kept dropping  out.

• Hardwiring your Q box to the router is always best, if not feasible look at powerline adapters as an alternative.

The router is in the other room so it will have to be power line connection, will give it a go. 
However, don't understand why it's only the Sky Q box that's hogging it and not amazon or Netflix.

@Andy+148Possibly it is because Amazon/Netflix directly stream and adjust quality depending on the speed available.
