Sky Q has made improvements

Hi, so "Sky Q has made improvements"

Please remove these improvements in the UI and kinda go back to V140 UI

I am talking about the improvemnts that confuse the mind when selecting your recordings.

It used to be upon selecting your recordings you would end up with a list which you could select and then play.

Now in V160 UI let's say I am series linked Aircraft Investigation. A recording is made, so when you go into recordings I expect to just select this recording and watch it but oh no, SKY have decided otherwise, it now brings up a banner (amnd hides the actual recording down off screen. So if you press select you then get taken to bloody Disney+!!!

I don't care for Disney and will never subscribe to Disney+ so please I do not want this big awful banner banner for Disney+ that I now have to scroll down to find my actual recording. How can you say that an improvemnet.

Why can't you people in UI design just let thing be....Keep the same functionality so folk like me and alos say more much older parents wondering what the hell they have to do to try and watch stuff because your just as bad as Mircosoft UI time and their premise is to move stuff about to just justify their jobs.

So please sky please put the UI back to it's much simpler form.

forget about all this banner crap that takes up 90% of the screen and just give me the recording lists.

Yes, because SKY CS told me there is nothing that can be done unless enough SKY USERS complain.

Hi @Arrows Q160 to my knowldge didn't change anything in the Recordings UI

The last change was a long time ago now & I am sure was pre Q140 .

I am actually struggling to visualise what you are describing as my screen  doesn't quite look like you describe

Maybe you could post a screen shot.

The one thing that was introduced a while ago now was the Bar above recordings with info about the series and buttons for Continue, delete & others in a ribbon. I know when that was introduced many didn't like it - I am not keen & would prefer it not to be there - especially as the episode it refers to is not always the one you think (for example it can be the next one in a series that you have not yet started watching).

Maybe it is that you are referring to ?

As you mention it taking you to Disney + I wonder if this is due to more integration with Disney + & if it is possible that the series you have been watching was on SKY Q but the next series is on Disney +  - if that is the case it would be good for us to know

@ArrowsJust press the Sky logo (yes it is a button) and this goes directly to your recordings with no junk which can show on the home page.

OK, but I don't understand what your problem is, so I can't support your 'complaint' (which is actually just a rant)

@Arrows  Sky won't roll back something just because you don't like it. They certainly won't react to any rants in a forum.

If you wish to make a complaint use the correct channels for that.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Air Crash Investigation Channel 129 Nat Geo HD Season 10 Ep 3 11:00pm tonight

Not sure what season you are currently on but check out Nat Geo seeing as Disney+ has the majority of seasons and episodes.

If you don't want to subscribe to Disney+ then you'll have to make do with channel 129 and their offerings @Arrows

Re: Sky Q has made improvements

My rant is that Sky still haven't fixed the issue of when you exit a recording, you are taken back to live TV rather than the recording that you have just watched in order to delete it.

This means that I am making unnecessary button presses on my remote control.

@Mikeyboy67 suggest you post in the Sky Q ideas forum where people can add a like if they agree - not thst helps a lot but it is the only way to gather support.

I hit the 'dismiss' button (box with left arrow) during a recording it takes you back one level where you can select delete straightaway.

There is a known bug where sometimes (quite a lot for me recently) takes you back to the last channel rather than back one level to the recordings.

It can be a bit random which may be why it is taking a little time to fix
