Sky Q being installed tomorrow

Hi There, I'm due to have Q fitted tomorrow. I tried to get this a few years back but the installer was very unhelpful. Our sky dish is out the back and the main box will be at the front of the house. I may sound really thick but what does that entail to get it fitted.

@WorriednewtoQ Our dish is at the back. Sky Q in front room. Cable runs through the wall behind the box, along the outside side wall and to the dish. Presumably, as long as you don't live in a terraced house it will be similar.

@Daniel0210 thank you so much for your reply, that's put my mind at ease. I didn't want them to say it can't be done.

@WorriednewtoQ

By definition a satellite dish has to point (very precisely) at the satellite cluster delivering the signal: this does tend to limit where they can be placed on the property. As @Daniel0210 indicates, Sky installers are very used to such situations, but there does need to be access for an external cable run along a wall because they'll typically no longer casually throw it over the roof as they used to ; )

@WorriednewtoQ You say your dish is currently at the rear of the property so presumably you have Sky+. Is the Q box going in the same place?

@WorriednewtoQ if you have a dish do you still have cable attached to the dish running to the room you want Sky Q in ?

if the cables are already there then they will re-use the cables if you have removed the cables or have changed where your box is going from where the cables used to be then as per the other answers
