Sky Q Wifi booster

I am installing a Garden Office and will need wifi in there.  A Sky booster has been suggested - is this any good and what is the maximum distance it can be from my hub?

Sky are under no obligation to supply a booster to facilitate connection outside the main dwelling, either for Q television or more general WiFi.  You'd almost certainly be better off with ethernet or Powerline networking, with an ethernet switch and access point at the far end.

Either a cabled connection using ethernet or Powerline, as suggested above, or more exotic solutions such as point-to-point wireless bridging.  It's not the job of an ISP to sort such things out: their remit typically ends either within range of the router (on a standard contract) or within the walls of the main dwelling if you've opted for an add-on such as the Sky 'Broadband Boost' or BT 'Halo' products.
